Updating your operating systems is a must for every computer owner. They not only provide fixes to old problems, but also computer performance improvements. But not every update is safe and easy to install. Major windows updates call service packs are sometimes risky as they create major alterations to your operating systems. Before upgrading your vista to service pack 1, you should take a few steps to protect your system. First thing you should do is to back up your system, then check your programs for any incompatibilities. Finally you want to make sure you remove any previous service pack attempts that you try to install. If anything does go wrong with your update, make sure to take your computer to a tech with your backup for computer repair service.
