Eczema treatment

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Eczema is characterized by the appearance of inflamed, itchy skin in eczema sensitive areas such as face, chest and other skin crease areas. There are a number of ways to treat eczema but the use of eczema creams, lotions and emollients are the most common.

Eczema can be broadly classified into mild, severe, and extremely severe types.  Learn about the causes of eczema and effective and natural treatments and cures for eczema.Eczema usually refers to a range of persistent or recurring skin rashes, itching and dryness. Although Eczema will affect all people of all ages, it usually first becomes apparent in infants and small children.

The aim is to keep the skins moisture levels constant as it is when moisture from the skin is lost that Eczema will cause the most distress. This is the most important self-care treatment that one can use in atopic eczema. The removal of natural body oils will exacerbate the Eczema condition so anything that does this should be stopped straight away. Skin moistening agents are called emollients and the rule of thumb for there use is to match the thicker ointments to the driest and flakiest skin. Light emollients like aqueous cream may dry the skin if it is very flaky, so heavier ointment should be used.

Eczema symptoms may come and go. Don’t wait until they turn into a flare-up or an outbreak.

Pericap Oil, the Wart Remover

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Dela Cruz formulated an herbal cream from the oil of pericap of cashew nuts, herbs and, natural plants and fruit extracts.  He patented this formulation and called it “Dewart and Demole.”    He discovered that this oil from cashew nut was able to removed warts and other skin tags.

I Found A Way To Get Rid Of Old Stretch Marks In Old Newspaper

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

I found an article in an old copy of the Chicago Tribune. This was in a old pile of newspapers in the back of the garage and dates go back about to 2002, and I found a story talking about new way to get rid of old stretch marks or at least to make them less noticeable. The research used Excimer lasers, previously only used for skin disease and vitiligo and found that it restored the natural pigmentation in the skin. I have done some research on how to get rid of stretch marks and the use of the Excimer laser more recently. My first findings were that the Excimer laser uses a high power ultraviolet light, which makes them extremely useful for surgery and most often it is used for eye surgery, not that this has anything to do with stretch mark removal. At last I have a list of a number of institutes and clinics performing this method to remove even the oldest stretch marks.

Highlighting Hair Information

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

Choose highlights for your hair at least a couple shades down from your natural color, but choosing which hair highlighting product to use can be a frustrating process. The purpose of highlighting hair is to bring out some aspects of your hair color and hide others.

A tipping cap is an easy to use plastic cap that allows you to easily highlight your hair tip with no fuss, no mess. Bring out the best in your hair and try the beautiful colors that are available on the market. What happens when you go to a salon is that the colorists mix a solution containing ammonia with a “developer” solution containing peroxide. The mix starts an oxidizing process that swells the hair and enables color to penetrate the hair shaft. Coloring agents, for coding purposes, may also be added both to the composition and to the aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide.

Colors range from blood red to sea foam green. Many shades are black light reactive. Color only a few selected strands. Bleaching the strands prior to highlighting ensures that the color is absorbed well. Color that looks like you where born with it (if you were incredibly lucky!) is what’s in. Today’s lesson is to keep it real.

Microdermabrasion Results

Friday, May 16th, 2008

Microdermabrasion is a safe skin treatment especially for acne scars, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, treating acne, scarring, reducing sun and age spots, and improving pore size but fine lines under the eyes are very hard to treat.

Microdermabrasion is a good way to improve the freshness of skin and remove dead skin cells, but for deeper wrinkles or scarring, it has limitations. Microdermabrasion leaves your skin smooth and clean with slight temporary redness. Blackheads are loosened, white heads may empty, dark sunspots lighten, acne scars, enlarged pores and fine wrinkles become less prominent.

Microdermabrasion sessions can be scheduled be performed on a regular basis to maintain good results. Microdermabrasion addresses skin irregularities, but is not effective against all complexion problems including redness, flushing and broken capillaries. Microdermabrasion uses tiny crystals of aluminum oxide to gently remove tissues from the deeper layers of skin.
