Former Most Sought After Drummer Sentenced in Jail

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

A man who is a professional drummer who toured with Take That, Texas, and Whitney Houston had been sentenced for four years in jail after holding up a bank with a music-stand as a gun. He was lawfully sentenced with “ham-fisted” robbery.

The court was told that he stole £1,200 from a branch of Lloyds TSB in Folkestone in July by using a gift-wrapped music stand to imitate a gun and pretending he had a bomb strapped to his leg.

He forced the cashier to hand over banknotes, stuffing them into a guitar case, but was arrested after a passer-by saw him putting the notes into his pockets on a nearby beach.

Tate, 46, who spent five years touring with Take That during the height of their fame in the early 1990s, needed the cash to pay off a £400 drugs debt and cover his rent, Maidstone Crown Court was told.

Passing sentence, Judge Andrew Patience said: “The bank employees must have been absolutely terrified. They didn’t know if it was a gun or not and there was the absurd thought that you might let off a bomb attached to your leg. Long after you have served your sentence such people will still be suffering.”

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

When President Jimmy Carter was in office, he was often the subject of jokes among comedians and even the general public at large. Some referred to him as ‘the peanut farmer’, while others remarked on his lack of notoriety during his term of office, dubbing him ‘the do-nothing President’. Viewed from the current perspective of American politics, we didn’t know when we were well off.
Perhaps we would do better to elect a President who keeps America on an even keel. The fact remains that while President Jimmy Carter held office, nothing terrible went wrong with the country. Just about everyone would now agree that this would be an admirable state of affairs.

To ask, what do one want from a music festival? Is it incredible dance music so people can have fun all night, ear ringing heavy metal music for serious moshing or some pleasant soft folk music while people bask in the sun? What’s further vital really is the type of atmosphere that festival hunters are looking for, the line ups & the facilities, all of which at different festivals vary a lot. The prominent music festivals gets into swing normally at the tail end of spring beginning of July the festival go on up & down the UK so there is always going to be a festival that is nearby to festival goers. There are never ever any complaints as festival lovers of course are bound to choose an astonishing festival that matches people and what people are seeking for.

The 1 st time you yourself attend a marvellous festival from the second one walk in the grounds to erect your tent you may feel this wonderful buzz. Summer Festivals routinely seem to get greater year after year. The only disadvantage that appears to get brought up year after year are the massive cost and price of pizza and booze however this cant be helped. Festival hunters are no allowed to take any of your own burgers or lager onto the festival site but one are allowed to bring it into your camping ground so it makes sense to eat and drink all festival lovers can before stepping into the ground this way festival lovers should be able to refrain from spending a ton of money What makes a sensational festival great is for obvious reasons the sunny weather, the fabulous atmosphere the bands and the stunning memories that one are going to make along the way.

Pink Floyd Version of Pink Floyd Wizard of Oz

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

English rock band Pink Floyd gave their own version of Pink Floyd Wizard of Oz, Dark Side of the Rainbow.

Wizard of Oz, an MGM movie, was made 1939 – according to my son, in the ancient times. To be truth, Pink Floyd’s 1973 album, The Dark Side of the Moon, lies for him in the same ancient times.

Now, on the more serious note: Dark Side of the Rainbow aka Dark Side of Oz aka The Wizard of Floyd, is some sort of synchronization between classic MGM movie and Pink Floyd album. One watches the film and listens to music at the same time. Many believe that the movie and the music somehow correspond with each other.

Anti-Aging Myth Addressed by Celebrity Linda Nacif

Friday, December 21st, 2007

We don’t have any choices when it comes to aging…
We do have choices and the choices we make today will mean the difference tomorrow between merely surviving or thriving. To be able to choose means we have to live consciously, aware of our choices. It means to do our own homework and not blindly do what others prescribe or what works for them. Every choice we make creates a domino effect through our body and mind. For example overeating can trigger serious health risks like high blood pressure, stroke, and diabetes. It not only diminishes our energy, it can also erode our joie de vivre, self-confidence, relationships and general outlook on life.
