Knowing your shoe’s personality

A pair of shoes can very well tell what kind of person or what kind of orientation a person has. Since time immemorial, shoes have been one of the indicating factors that determine the status of a person. By wearing a specific shoe style, you can easily be distinguished by the public.

Unlike before, modern times have paved the way for a wider selection of shoes that are available for almost all markets. In fact, almost every segment of the society today has a specific shoe style that is being catered to by most shoe manufacturers and designers.

What’s your shoe style?

Indeed, there has never been a time where people have greater selection of shoe styles. From shoes that bring comfort like casual shoes up to formal, dressy and even exotic shoes, you can find the right shoe style that can very well reflect your personality.

1. Athletic shoes. These shoes are usually designed for people who are into sports and often participate in various sporting activities. But because of the comfort that it brings, athletic shoes have also become one of the most popular shoe styles worn by people for everyday use.

2. Athletic-inspired shoes. Unlike sports or athletic shoes that are designed for each specific sport, colorful and sporty-looking athletic-inspired shoes are designed or created for fashion rather than for function. These are for people who want to achieve the look of an athlete or sports celebrity without compromising their own distinct style.

3. Boots. These shoes are designed and created with one word in mind: protection. Types of boots include cowboy, work, hiking, motorcycle, and snow are usually designed for specific function. But, just like in sports shoes, boots also have their own versions that are created for fashion like platform-soled, pointed-toe, and knee-high boots.

4. Clogs. These shoes usually have rigid and wooden soles. But now, clogs come in different shoe soles like cork, rubber, and plastic soles.

5. Mules. These are closed-toe shoes that usually have an open back that come on heels with different heights and a wide variety of styles.

6. Flats. These shoes usually don’t have heels or usually have low and broad heels. While it’s true that flats are usually designed for street wear, flats nowadays can be used for formal events because they come in various embellishments.

7. Sandals. A pair of sandals is probably the most popular footwear to men and women today because of their open-air style. Sandals usually give an exotic elegance to any outfit. Usually made of rope, rubber,
leather, and wood, sandals are worn with lightweight clothing that range from sports to evenings wear.

10. Platform shoes and wedges. Platform shoes are categorized into wedge with one chunky piece and have a wide array of cloth, color variations, and heels.

Mens Shoes Fashion in 2010

Filed under: Beauty, Clothing, Fashion, Footwear — kimbo @ 12:53 pm

Although Mens Shoes Fashion does not have the variety in styles or the rapidity in change that women’s footwear does, there is still a huge increase in shoemakers zooming in on what the chaps in society want to put onto their feet, and we’re talking about males of all ages here from youngsters, to teens, to young adults, middle aged men, and the elderly. Never before has the male species been so vain and concerned about wearing beautiful shoes and boots, and a lot of this has to do with how we compete for the ladies compared to how we used to. Just a couple of generations ago, relationships were formed by the fittest of the fit. The ladies of yesteryear loved a rough and rugged man who was a bit scruffy yet could scrub up well when the occasion warranted it. Today, for reasons only known to them, the young women in society prefer to see the more effeminate side to their men, pretty, or cute guys almost, and that includes smart and smart casual attire, nice hair, and in general very well groomed from top to bottom. Oh how the times do a change!
