If you are like me, and you don’t want to spend your hard earned money on something that might not be that good, you have to make it a habit to go read movie reviews on each one you think might be good.
I have found that some movies look amazing in the previews, especially the comedies.

A glamour modeling and singing career led television personality Carmen Electra to success as a presenter and actress. Born in Ohio in 1972, Carmen wanted to make it as a singer and recorded one album. Small TV roles followed, then she posed for Playboy magazine. This gained her some fame and a serious television career beckoned.

The MTV game show, Singled Out, hired Carmen Electra to present. Carmen brought her sense of fun to the dating show. Her big break came when she was cast as lifeguard Lani McKenzie in Baywatch. She was part of the cast from 1997 until 1998, watched by millions of people, as the show was the most popular across the world. Carmen also appeared in the movie that reunited the cast in Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding in 2003.

The novel has been filmed on eight occasions, the first two versions from 1917 and 1922, being silent movies. The BBC also broadcast a series based on the book for British television in 1959. Of the movies, the 1946 film directed by David Lean is considered to be the best. The black and white film was awarded two Oscars, for Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography. Pip was played by John Mills and it also starred Jean Simmons and Alec Guinness.

The latest movie version was released in 1998 and starred Ethan Hawke as Pip and Gwyneth Paltrow as Estella. A spin off sequel called Great Expectations, The Untold Story came out in 1986 and tells the story of what happened to Magwitch after he goes to Australia. Michael York and Sarah Miles were the stars of the 1974 version and Anthony Hopkins played Magwitch in 1989.
