Get Those Income Tax Deductions

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Because I have so many income tax deductions I can no longer do my taxes on my own. I believe this is for the best, because if I try to do them on my own I know I would end up being faced with an audit. I am not the best at keeping receipts, though I do keep good records. However, I know that the IRS would be more interested in what receipts I could produce rather than what kind of records I kept. They don’t care about how honest I think I am, they want to see proof.

Modern Taxpayers Easily Efile Taxes

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

I wasn’t looking forward to doing my taxes, so I just keep putting them off and putting them off until finally the deadline was close at hand and I still hadn’t started. One of my friends said, “join the modern age, efile your taxes“. He said that I wouldn’t have to fill out any forms longhand or go to the Post Office, so I decided to look into it. I found that the instuctions were very easy to follow and the tax codes easy to apply to my situation. The best part was that since my state follows the federal tax code, I was able to file my state income taxes at the same time as the federal. Even though the majority of the population still does not like the idea of filing taxes, using the internet has reduced a lot of the anxiety associated with filing taxes. The IRS loves efiling as it cuts down on paperwork and the need for manpower on their end.
